MAMBA Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter for LS SERIES Engines. Suit Holden / Chevy LS Series Engines 5.7, 6.0, 6.2. M16x1.5 thread with 1/8 NPT auxiliary port. Manufactured from CNC6061 Machined Aluminum. Whilst still retaining original factory gauge (Factory senders must be retained as this will affect the vehicles ECU). 1/8 NPT auxiliary port on running an aftermarket oil pressure/oil temperature gauge or running an oil feed line to a supercharger or turbocharge. Located at the rear of the engine, carefully remove the factory sender. Once removed begin carefully screwing down the MAMBA adaptor by hand. It is IMPORTANT that the auxiliary port is facing the correct position so the aftermarket sender can be fitted. Once the adapter is in position you can now tighten the adaptor with a spanner, tighten a further 1-16″ to 1/8″ MAX of a turn allowing the alloy crush washers to have a positive seal. (make sure not to overtighten as this could strip the thread) After this is done screw in the aftermarket gauge sender. Once installation is complete and the engine has been running check for any leaks. MAMBA recommends this adaptor should be fitted by a qualified technician to eliminate any damage to the adaptor or your vehicle. Everything shown on first picture included. Bank Wire (T/T) acceptable. If we send the wrong item, we will send replace part asap once we get your information and pictures. The oil pressure switch is normally closed. When the ignition is switched on, the oil pressure warning light illuminates. When oil pressure is built up as the engine starts, the switch contact in the oil pressure switch opens and the ground contact for the warning light is interrupted. The warning light goes out. Where are these sensors located? The oil pressure sensor is often located in the engine block near the bottom of the cylinder head. Will a malfunctioning oil pressure sensor illuminate the check engine light or affect vehicle operation? Yes, a failing sensor – Warning light is illuminated permanently or not at all. Oil pressure indicator, not operational. What are the common causes of failure? Typically these sensors fail due to a Clogged inlet bore. Contact failure on the connector. How to determine if these sensors are malfunctioning? Check connectors and wiring for proper fit or damage. Check the housing for leaks. Check engine connections and switch flange for contamination.
