650 Lift Pac 1905 Dual Valve Spring Kit Including Collets, Retainers, Seats and Seals Suitable for LS1, LS2, LS3 & L98 V8 Holden Commodore & HSV VT-VF Models. PAC racing valve springs employ cutting edge technology in material advancements and processing resulting in superior race track results and reliability. This particular set of dual 1905 valve springs is truly the tip of the spear. 650 valve lift (with 1.7 rocker ratio), you need look no further for the toughest valve springs on the market. This custom kit includes all of the ancillaries required to handle whatever you can throw at it, including 16 valve springs (8 outer and 8 inner), 16 steel valve spring seats, 16 valve stem seals and 32 steel collets. As such this valve spring set is built to withstand the rigors of drag and circuit racing applications, not to mention serious street performance. At Tuff Car Parts we recommend dual valve springs rather than single valve springs for the majority of camshaft upgrades. What is the difference, and why do we recommend duals? A single spring kit is one spring that supports the valve on its own whereas a dual kit has the outer spring as well as a smaller spring inside. The reason we recommend dual spring kits is because in the highly unlikely event of one of the dual valve springs failing, the other spring (typically the inner spring) will still be in tact to hold the valve up and prevent it from dropping into the engine, potentially saving a costly engine rebuild. A single valve spring does not have this second spring to fall back on. So will the PAC 1905 suit my needs? The answer would be a resounding yes if you; 1. Have a camshaft grind greater than. 625 lift at the valve, noting that the 1905 spring copes with up to. 650 lift camshafts 2. The vehicle will be used in burn outs, drift or other situations whereby the engine will hit or sit on the rev limiter on a regular basis 3. The stiffer PAC 1905 dual valve springs help prevent both valve float and valve bounce. Valve float is an adverse condition which can occur at high engine speeds when the valve does not properly follow the closure phase of the cam lobe. This reduces engine efficiency and performance, and represents a significant risk of severe engine damage due to valve spring damage or pistons contacting the valves. They also negate valve bounce which is a related condition where the valve does not stay seated due to the combined effects of the valve’s inertia and resonance of metallic valve springs that reduce the closing force, and allow the valve to re-open partially. Holden VT VU VX VY VZ Commodore Brembo Big Brake Kit 4-Piston (Front and Rear) (No Brake Pads). The most affordable big brake kit for VT-VZ Commodores! Under 3-Hour installation time. Upgrade your brakes to these MASSIVE 4-piston Front AND 4-piston Rear Brembo calipers a huge improvement from the factory Commodore brakes! This brake upgrade kit has been specifically designed to suit Holden VT, VU, VX, VY & VZ Commodores. It utilises the front Brembo calipers from VE Redline edition models and the rear Brembo calipers from VF2 Redline edition models. This means future access to affordable replacement pads and discs. The kit is very straight-forward and easy to install by anyone familiar with brake systems and can be installed with basic hand tools in under 3 hours. The adaptor brackets are manufactured from billet 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium and are heat treated and anodized black to guarantee durability. This kit does not include brake pads or discs. The kit retains use of the factory handbrake. What the kit includes. Set of FRONT 4-Piston RED Genuine Brembo Calipers. Set of FRONT Brake Pad Retainer Pin Kit. Set of FRONT billet 6061-T6 aircraft aluminium caliper adaptor brackets. 10 x FRONT rotor bushings (required to reduce the stud holes on the brake discs to accept the smaller diameter VT-VZ wheel studs). 4 x FRONT caliper bolt bushings (only required for vehicles with brake upgrades from factory). All bolts and washers required for installation. Set of REAR 4-Piston RED Genuine Brembo Calipers. Set of REAR Brake Pad Retainer Pin Kit. Set of REAR billet 6061-T6 aircraft aluminium caliper adaptor brackets (including hand brake spacer brackets). 10 x REAR rotor bushings (required to reduce the stud holes on the brake discs to accept the smaller diameter VT-VZ wheel studs). Please read before purchasing. Brake Discs Information: Brake discs are not included in this kit. The front discs required are the brake discs that come fitted to VE & VF Commodore Redline edition vehicles with front Brembo calipers, Size: 355mm x 32mm. (RDA Part Number: RDA8103, DBA Part Number: DBA42604) The rear discs required are the brake discs that come fitted to HSV E-Series models, Size: 350mm x 25mm. (RDA Part Number: RDA7376, DBA Part Number: DBA42031) IMPORTANT: You will need to enlarge the centre hole on both front and rear rotors from 67.4mm to 71.4mm (if you follow the same taper/angle as the stock centre hole). If you cannot reproduce the same taper, then it is recommend to increase the hole size to 76.2mm this will still allow the disc to still sit central on the hub because of the stainless steel stud sleeves (included with our kit). The hole can be enlarged with a rotary tool/Dremel quite easily, however we do recommend having it done on a lathe or by a machinist. Front brake pads required: Equivalent to VE & VF Redline Edition Models with front Brembo Calipers (RDA Part Number: RDX2161). Rear brake pads required: Equivalent to VF2 Redline Edition Models with rear Brembo Calipers (RDA Part Number: RDX2083). The factory steering knuckles are cast iron and may have an uneven finish from the manufacturing process. This can cause the brackets to not sit flush against the knuckle. If this is the case, you will need to sand/grind the steering knuckles to a smooth finish. Factory brake lines can be used with this kit if your vehicle came with factory standard brakes. Note that if you have PBR Brake Upgrade Calipers (C5/C6 calipers), you will need to change your brake lines to the standard VT-VZ type as the C5/C6 lines are slightly too short. You will need a minimum 18 wheels to clear the brake upgrade. Wheels needs to have an offset of 35mm 42mm. Larger offsets can work but these wheels usually have concave wheel spokes that may rub on the caliper. In some instances, a small wheel spacer (2mm-5mm thick) may be required. You will need to trim/remove the front and rear dust shields to allow the larger caliper to fit. We then have them repainted in Melbourne by a well trusted and professional automotive workshop. They are painted in high-temp paint and clear-coated to ensure the paint won’t fade or crack. We swap the bleeders and crossover pipe positions on the front calipers before we get them painted so they are ready to install. The VE-VF front calipers sit at the trailing position, while the VT-VZ Commodore calipers fit at a leading position. Swapping the crossover pipe position means the calipers will have the larger brake pistons at the correct location for best braking performance. This item will be sent by Australia Post.
