Headlight Relay Harness Kit 80a Holden Commodore VN VP VR VS VT VX SS HSV Calais. Headlight Relay Harness Dual 40a Relays, 30a Fuse 2 Single Headlamps. This Headlight Booster harness is just the thing you need, if your headlights are dull and yellow, or if they are flickering (older cars have a circuit breaker in the switch, when overloaded, it shuts off then turns back on when cool). That is an indication that you are not getting the full 12v plus that your battery can give, as by the time the power travels through your old undersized wiring, through old switches and relays if you’re lucky enough to have them at all! Then back through your engine bay to your lights. Super simple to fit, basically, 1 wire to the positive + terminal of the battery, unplug both of your headlights, and plug one of the car plugs into the loom. Then the loom plugs into your headlights. In a nutshell, what happens now is your cars existing wiring is just a switch, all the power is now traveling directly from the battery to the headlights. If you have a Fairlane, GS, GT, LTD, Landau, Premier, Statesman, Chevy Impala, Datsun 1600, Celica, or other quad headlight car, you can use this loom to add brightness to the main headlights and relieve some of the load off your switch or we have a 4 light loom for you too. Your existing headlights will now be much brighter than before, if you weren’t getting full power. With a pair of 80 amp relays and it’s own 30 amp fuse, you can now also safely fit higher wattage bulbs, without risk of shorting out, blowing switches or starting electrical fires. 2000 Holden Commodore VT Calais. Brought over by a lovely chap called Eddie in 2009ish. Eddie bought the car at a couple of years old when he lived in Oz. He was a humanist preacher and serial car modifier and used the Commy to travel to various churches around Austraila for a few years. In his ownership he fitted a HSV brake kit, Koni shocks and springs, quickshift, full stainless exhaust system, 18 alloys, bucket seats awful! , a few minor engine mods and the mother of all towbars. Eddie and his wife Margaret moved back to the UK in the late 2000s which is where I first met them. He saw my Senator parked outside my shop and popped in for a chat. It had been stored since he brought it over and it had gained a few battle scars during that time. I had it recovered to my unit and got it running easily enough but the clutch was on its last legs. I fitted an LS7 clutch and flywheel, Mishimoto rad and PS cooler and changed all the fluids. I took all trim and under shields off and rustproofed the car properly, cavity waxed all the box sections and sills. It’s 100% solid, never welded, won’t need any! I took it for an MOT in 2020 and drove it for a few days. I filled the tank up one day, drove it to my unit and couldn’t restart it, and that’s where it’s been ever since! The fuel pump doesn’t chime in so I’m guessing it’s that but a distinct lack of time and loads of other GM projects mean I won’t get it done so it’s gotta go! Having a massive clear out so please see my other items for all sorts of classic car and bike parts I’ve accumulated over the Years. Please note – the video is of the car running before it failed to proceed!
